Puglia is currently enduring a spell of rough winter weather. Heavy snow and ice are being reported in the Province of Bari, particularly in Alberobello, Andria (seen in the photo of Castel del Monte, above), Castellana Grotte, Locorotondo, Noci and Putignano. Elsewhere, hail, sleet and freezing rain are making travel dangerous. More snow is in the forecast for the entire region.
