While searching for some information about hotels in Puglia, we just discovered a U.K.-based website that provides an excellent overview of the region as a vacation destination for English-speaking travelers. The site provides a look at Puglia’s ancient and recent history, offers advice about attractions, accommodations, transportation, etc., for first-time visitors (that we as repeat visitors also will find very helpful), and recommends other useful resources. Our favorite tip: “We found it invaluable to have printed out railway timetables in advance – often we were better equipped with information than the people/offices where we made enquiries.” Amen! It even reviews the only two English-language Puglia travel guidebooks that we’ve been able to find.
