Alitalia Cancels Brindisi Flights
Alitalia has canceled Brindisi-Rome and Brindisi-Milan flights through Sunday, Nov. 30. The move apparently is part of a system-wide reduction in domestic air service due to labor-management issues concerning the planned Dec. 1 debut of the “new” Alitalia. The only Alitalia service still scheduled for that period are two Sunday evening flights: a 6:40 P.M. to Milan-Linate and a 7:10 P.M. to Rome-Fiumicino. The airline has 62 employees in Brindisi who face an uncertain future.
